For Kenya to achieve Vision 2030, there is a need for quality human resources. The quality of the workforce is directly related to the quality of the training it receives and by extension, the quality of instruction in middle-level training institutions. In this regard, SIST has been keen to offer quality technical training geared towards achieving its mission: “To provide skills and quality Training in Research, Science, and Technology to enhance sustainable National Development”. Indeed, we all recognize that in today’s competitive global market, it takes the expertise of talented engineers, scientists, and technologists as well as the fulfilled hands of craftsmen and technicians to produce quality goods and services for both local consumption and the export market.

The objectives of the office of Deputy Principal, Administration & Finance are to improve the discipline situation in the college by solving disciplinary cases from the current one and half days to one day by reviewing the students’ council constitution, Empowering guiding and counseling programs (referrals), Sensitization of college rules & regulations to students and improving  BOG employees work performance 

As members of the SIST community, we all have the responsibility to bring to life the vision we have at the institute: To be a center of excellence in capacity building, research, science, and technology, where students and colleagues thrive.

We have a team of dedicated staff both teaching and nonteaching which enables us to realize our vision of making SIST “a center of excellence in capacity building, research, science, and technology”
