The ICT department is recognized for offering the backbone infrastructure that the Polytechnic runs on. It provides technical support for instance optimal application of available resources and the ability to create and deliver high-quality ICT services in line with the mission of the college. These services are delivered through an ICT infrastructure that is comprehensive, up-to-date, responsive, reliable, and available.

The ICT department is mandated to provide an infrastructure that will help the college remain relevant and competitive in Higher Education today.

Services

The ICT Department provides a comprehensive range of services and support to staff and students, including;

  1. An ICT helpdesk that provides user support to the entire Polytechnic
  2. Internet & Intranet access
  3. Backbone Communication Infrastructure (LAN & WAN) maintenance
  4. Network configuration (Wired or Wireless)
  5. Database Administration and Software Development
  6. In-house Training (end-users)
  7. Student computing support (computer labs)
  8. Servers, Internet proxy, File services, and Storage
  9. Anti-virus and Security Updates
