Cultural Week

The aim of the cultural week is to search for talents for different disciplines in the college. This is an annual event that is held in the college.   The climax of the SIST cultural week is the hotly contested Mr. and Miss. SIST beauty pageant. Different contestants showcase their prowess in modeling by displaying their beauty and creativity skills through the different wears, leaving the judges with a difficult task of deciding who was the fairest of them all


Social Life

The aim of the cultural week is to improve and nurture talents amongst students in the college. As well as part of the government performance contracting. Among the items presented included: Short plays, cultural creative dance, coral verse, solo verse, eating competition, mime (communicating using signs), traditional wear, cooking competition for traditional foods and culture presentations.

Clubs and Societies

Students join and form clubs to pursue their passion in life and explore new interests besides gaining new skills and experiences at the college. There is something for every student in the clubs and societies


The college has accommodation facilities for over 700 students ( both male and female) but as well recommends a list of hostels to choose from for our students

The college has well furnished Cafeteria in addition to the Dinning halls in the hospitality complex that provides distinguished quality world class  trainings to our hospitality trainees as well as short courses in baking to the community.

The department  of sports spearheads all the preliminary activities of talent search, team formation, selection and preparation of the athletes accordingly. So far the college is recognized for its co-curricular activities. SIST sports and recreational programs provide our students with exceptional learning experiences that are not offered in other parts of the college curriculum. Through participation in college sports, students’ athletes improve their strength, speed, and endurance, and acquire the complex skills and poise needed to perform at their best in athletic competition.


We are  powerhouse in creativity and Innovation.  Four projects have completed to national and attained 1st positions.  The lawn Mower was invited by the President to State house.  Its undergoing incubation by the Chandaria foundations. The irrigation pump which attained position two nationally is another of these projects.  The Institute boasts of the Torsoy Health Drink which was recognized for competition in Cairo-Egypt. We are working on more of these innovations to be relevant to vision 2030.  The college holds  innovation weeks annually (between  February and March) where new innovative ideas are displayed to the public as well as research trainings conducted.

We have well trained security personnel as well as outsourced security guards in the college to enhance the security and well being of our students and staff. 

Sports Disciplines

Sports and games are essential for the development of student-athletes and play an important role in protecting the image of the college at the local, national and international levels. Disciplines offered in the college are Soccer, Netball, Basketball, Volleyball, Rugby, Handball, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton, Chess and Hockey.

Our goal is to provide high quality training that ensures our trainees get employment / self-employed.
