Building Technology

Building  and Civil Engineering department began by recruiting students pursuing building construction and civil engineering. It later admitted students in Quantity surveying. The courses offered were at diploma level in the Technical Education Programme (TEP) that took 3 years for the trainees to sit Kenya National Examination Council examinations.  Later on , we started offering certificate in Masonery, a 2 year programme (KNEC examinable) The department expanded and introduced certificate in Land Survey. Currently, the department has admitted syudents at Diploma level in Land Survey ( The 1st batch of students satfor  KNEC examination in July 2017). The department has a total of 14 Lecturers  (Check our Prospectus for more information) Other than the regular diploma and certificate courses, the department has embarked on developing short skills programs aimed at imparting employable skills to young Kenyans. These are important tools in the realization of Kenya’s Vision 2030. The department has entrenched Quality Management System (QMS) as a tool to ensure quality service to our customers . The department has well equipped workshop with well trained technicians for Masonry, Plumbing, Carpentry, Surveying, Building and Construction.
